VA Beach

VA Beach! We went to the boardwalk, enjoyed daily bike rides on our cruisers (sometimes twice a day) into the wildlife park. The house we rented for the week was owned by the Fire Chief in the city of VA Beach-Kevin. We got a wonderful tour of the Fire house which the kiddies loved. One of the best memories for me of the entire vacay was playing UNO at night. Once the babes were down, whomever was tough enough to handle "killer Uno, Cajun style" was welcome in the basement. That's when the real partying began.

Wash Woods

The first week of vacation this year we went to Myrtle Beach. The second week of our vacation we went to Virginia Beach. This was our first time at VA Beach and it was really nice. I think I like Outer Banks better as far as East coast/Carolina's Beaches, but VA Beach was great because we once again accommodated 14 into a beach house for a week! The house we stayed at was called Wash Woods. The house was phenomenal. Loaded with kiddie rooms, pool table, air hockey, ping pong, stereo's/Dvd's everywhere, playstation, paddle boats, kayaks, canoes (which we took into the ocean). We definitely recommend Wash Woods!

Baseball Trophy

June 18 Austin had his first season of baseball award party. The kids went to Jump'n Jimmy's here in Haymarket and enjoyed bouncy castles, pizza, cake and of course receiving their bobble head trophy. Austin's best friend Cameron and him were on the same team this year which made the experience really great. Duane was able to be home for the party and that made it super special for us! Way to go Austin!

My Better Half's Side

I have an amazing family. 2 of them. My side-the LaBarbera's and the Toler's. And Happy 49th Wedding Anniversary this year Mom and Dad. Thanks Toler's for another amazing Myrtle Beach vacation!!!

Father's Day 2010

Duane's been a dad for 7 years this Father's Day. I am so thankful for the wonderful Dad he is and his complete love and devotion he has towards his kids. Family is #1 to him. Thanks for being a great day honey!

I am also so appreciative of my Dads in my life. I am very blessed to have 2 dads that give me advice, support, love, encouragement and strength every day. I am very close to my dads and very thankful for them in my life.

Happy Father's Day to the men that matter most!

Beach Baby

Ashley is a real beach baby. Both kids are. From 7am to 9pm-out in the sand, in the waves. This year she started body boarding and standing up on the board...our little surfer girl.

Myrtle Beach Fun 2010

Myrtle Beach has a special place in our heart. The beach we go to every single summer to get together and to RELAX. It's a wonderful week with Duane's side of the family. Terrie and Scott Capener sister and brother in law, Jenny and Tiffany, nieces and Rachel Lowe and her daughter Alexi-niece and the kids' second cousin. And of course Uncle Ray comes for a couple of days mid-week to spoil the kids like crazy!

Myrtle Beach for us is truly a real vacay...everything is taken care of. It's the same thing every year, and it's the same thing I look forward to every year. Staying on the beach, fireworks at night, Broadway at the Beach in the evenings (Build-a-Bear and feeding the fish, teacup ride and Magiquest!) body boarding, reading/laying out, being spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa, the flea market, crab catching, and most times our beach week lands on Father's Day. What a wonderful week to spend together full of rich traditions, memories that are made and keep growing every year!!
