Date Knight
Austin got this made at the Chik-fil-A Date Knight for Mothers and Sons. It was a wonderful evening reserved for just moms and their boys. "What does a boy have to do to become a knight? Do you remember a time when you had to be brave? Who is the bravest person you know?" These were all fun questions we could ask one another and the food was delicious of course...chikfila...and the special one on one time was priceless. Thanks Chik-fil-a!

New Fishing Pole
Dylan surprised Austin one day after school with a new fishing pole!

Ash wanted to be just like Tiana from Princess and the Frog and make her very own "Gumbo". It was delicious!
Fishing in Pond Behind House
We have a wonderful stocked pond behind our house of great little fish to catch!!!
Everyday after school, for 2 hours, Austin unwinds by fishing. Either by himself or with Dylan or with Ashley.
They catch no less than 6 fish a day!
And not to be outdone, Ashley will find the live bait, bait the hook, cast, reel and is quite the fisherwoman!

Man on the Run-HALF IRON MAN
In the heart of Kabul Afghanistan, D did his first HALF IRON MAN!!!!
That's a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride and a 13.1 mile run.
WAY TO GO!!!
Also, he got a MERITORIOUS HONOR AWARD from the State Dept! One of many awards he has earned through Diplomatic Security. So proud of you honey.
Juanita Wheeler
Whenever we have people come over for dinner, Ashley loves to set the table and makes the prettiest place cards and designates where everyone will sit.
My dear friend Juanita and Steve Wheeler came over, my past boss at DCMA in the HR/Qaulity of Life Department and we enjoyed dinner and a wonderful puzzle we all put together afterward. I also planted some beautiful Easter lilies they brought me.

Iwo Jima
While Duane home over Spring Break, we made it a point to visit downtown. We love the Iwo Jima statue, one of our favorite places to visit in DC. We love what it represents. This is where we come every 4th of July to celebrate in our Nation's Capitol. We love DC.
