St. Patty's Day '11

My little lucky leprechauns set the leprechaun trap the night before. We have the same aluminum foil covered trap we made 7 years ago. The kids woke up to check the trap. What did they see? The same things they encounter every single St. patty's day! Chairs overturned, pillows off couches--the leprechaun messed things up! He even left green pee in the toilet! But alas, he'd left green lime jello in the fridge (normally its pistachio pudding-I got this from my buddy Abby). The leprechaun trap had gold coins, chocolates. Breakfast was oatmeal with green heart frosting on top, green sprinkles, green milk and lime jello. Dinner, Green eggs and ham of course! I love my holidays. And traditions. I'm very predictable...but it's TRADITION!!

First Blue and Gold Scout Banquet

Our Scout troop is awesome. Truly awesome. The boys, the leaders, the activities. Cameron We are so lucky. It was mexican themed and the boys had made a pinata to smash. This year Austin received the Centennial Patch his first year-100th year anniversary of Boy Scouts. Way to go Bobcat Austin!!!

Honest Abe

This week my Dad came to visit from Gainesville FL! Pop is here!!!! We had a great time. Trips to Wegmans for lunches--big subs, blue cheese filled olives, and huge cokes. A special Daddy-daughter lunch at El Vaquero with big strawberry margaritas. When you're with Pop, things are always big. We had a great time!!!

Happy Helper

This week Ash got to be the Happy Helper at preschool. She shared her glass birthday doll, a ceramic easter egg, precious things to her! Austin got a fever that lasted 24 hrs. Saturday night I got to go to a High School Basketball game and El Vaquero for a pre-Valentines Dinner/date with the kiddos!! Yay! I love V-day! Heart Heart.

And Then There was 2

We have fish, Laser, a Beta fish we've had for a year now. Our last Beta fish we had almost 4 years. We have great luck with fish. But a fish wasn't enough. And now we have our second pet (for now) a Hamster. Ash has a hamster although it is a family pet and she named her Emmy. Austin wanted a hamster once he saw Ash had a pink cage and cute little rodent all to herself. But Austin's not the pet type of person. In fact, he'll only pet Emmy with a pair of socks on his hands. She has been a good little critter so far, 4 days down.

Ash cannot leave her alone. We found out Hamsters are high stress animals and only live about 2-3 years. This little rat might not live to see 6 months...she gets constantly prodded with spoons, carrots poked at her, and constant attention whether its warranted or not.

Every Girl Can Be A Princess

My dear friend Gabe hosted a BEAUTIFUL Princess party for Charlotte (4) last weekend! It was fit for a princess! She had games like Princess and the Pea (girls had to sit on cushions to see if they felt the pea... and kiss the frog to see if he's turn into a Prince (luckily Austin was there our one true prince!) Cake, a picnic, decorations, everything to the 9's. Happy Birthday Lottie!

Pinewood Derby

This year was Austin's very first Pinewood Derby! With a sweet "aerodynamic car" (as his award certificate states) his beast weighed in at 5 oz exactly. Way to go speed racer!

Stella LaBarbera

January 29th at 2:42 pm in Boston MA, baby Stella LaBarbera joined the world at 8lbs 12 oz. Baby sister to Ryan, Brigg and Jax!
