Toler 50th Wedding Anniversary

After the OBX, we drove to Myrtle Beach the following week to celebrate Ray and Barbara's Golden 50th. They met at Krispy Kreme Donut store in South Carolina and we had to celebrate with the same style! We had a full day planned of donuts, games, dinner at Miyabi and cake. The whole group even had matching anniversary T-shirts made up that said Happy 50th!!!

OBX Family Vacay

This year we rented another vacation home in the Outer Banks for the LaBarbera 2011 vacay. Awesome house with an awesome view and a truly awesome family. I am very lucky to have the most loyal family in the world. I am blessed with exemplary parents and 3 brothers and 3 sis-in-laws. My nieces and nephews are the best!! Can't wait for next year!

Father's Day 2011

Daddy came home on June 17th for Father's Day/and Myrtle Beach/FL vacation from Baghdad. YAY! A quick pickup of a rifle at a gun store, a cold stone cake and voila! Happy Father's Day honey! 8 years of an awesome Daddy. We love you!

Austin's Last Day of School-2nd Grade

My little man has graduated from 2nd grade. No more S, S-, s+..3rd grade is all grades. The innocence is somewhat gone. 3rd grade seems so much older! But he's ready for it. Mohawk says it all.

Piano Recital

My visiting teacher/dear friend Jean is amazing. Truly the most self-less person I know. She is always so giving and loving. She definitely thinks of others before herself. All the time. Most recently, she gave Ashley and Austin the slap watches and totally surprised them. She's also given fun towels, flashlights, books, toys, Life is Good Tshirts, babysat, countless dinners, attended Dr.'s appts/hospitals with me, baked me goods, Anthropologie hat, Juicy perfume....the list goes on. Am I spoiled or what? Thanks Jean for your kindness and all the good for both me and the kiddos!!!






This year is special, my third Spring Piano Recital since I've been teaching. But what's special about it, is that it's the first one where my kiddos performed! Ashley played Mary Had a Little Lamb and Austin Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. They did great! And all of my students rocked. I am so proud of them! And very proud to be a mom to two kiddos that played the piano! yay!

Mohawk Man!

I don't know what's cuter....the fact that Ashley painted on some eyebrows, or that she was so pleased she made a building out of blocks!

It's the last week of school, and I went to give Austin a regular boy haircut, when he annonced he wanted a MOHAWK. It didn't take long for me to get excited about this. Really Austin? Yep. So he went from schoolboy to Apache overnight!


For Family Home Evening on Monday night, Austin organized, presented a great lesson and made Fruit sushi for the refreshment! He got the recipe out of the Friend Magazine and followed it and everything. Maybe this can become a routine...
