While on the phone, Ash had gotten into hair color (thanks Pop) and smeared it through her fine hair, then hid under her comforter (pink bed) and touched walls (with pink fingers). My jaw dropped and instead of starting with her, I just laughed and grabbed the camera. I'm really trying hard to start to look at the big picture and not get upset with the everyday minutia of being a mom. It's hard, but it's helping me cope with things a little easier.

Oh this all sounds too familiar. I experienced something similar when Logan uncapped a bright blue rolling marker, and proceeded to roll it across his face and then across our light taupe couch. It was actually pretty funny, since he looked like he had blue eyeshadow on - but I did have to take a deep breath to not scream about the couch. The bigger picture isn't always easy to see, is it??
that is good advice that i need to take, i can never see the bigger picture...i am going to work on it.
